Time and Time

I have been working really hard on finishing my assignment and leaving on time. It's a problem I have that many days I leave late. There's no overtime so if I stay it's on me unless I can leave a little early the next day. However as I said leaving on time is a problem for me so leaving early is next to impossible. There is a person who works in the next cube who always leaves on time. It seems that way anyway. No matter how heavy the workload that day, on the dot, they leave. We have a 24 hour deadline, within 24 hours of receiving a report we have to have it reviewed, send a response and forward it on. With 10-12 reports to do, requests regarding other reports, spreadsheets to check, phone calls and e-mail all part of the regular day if one report or call takes a lot of time I'm sunk. Yet this person never misses a beat, and leaves right on schedule. I can't figure it out. My goal is to improve on leaving on time. Today I came very close. Maybe tomorrow. However, I can't do anything but work from the moment I arrive until I leave. All work no play.......
